Affordable Activities

We love doing affordable activities at our home. Over Christmas break our family had more time together & that equals finding more things to do to fill that time. Being a mom to two boys means getting creative in the DIY department. I found a couple of projects that have piqued their interest and that allow me to tap into that creative, hands-on side.

I found the cutest little stocking stuffer from Seedling while browsing through Pottery Barn Kids at Utica Square last month. For roughly $10, you can hatch your own dinosaur from an egg. My kids absolutely adored this activity. They patiently waited for two days for their dinosaur to emerge from it’s egg. The anticipation of seeing what was inside made it so much fun!

We also found an affordable DIY rocket from Target for $4.99. I cannot tell you how fun it is to shoot it off. It exceeds the 30 feet guarantee! We spent an hour in the frigid cold because it was so entertaining.

Next up on our to-do list is a DIY volcano. I hope to share that adventure soon!
