I am passionate about making sure what I hang on the walls in our home holds special meaning to our family.  I have a map framed of Cabo San Lucas where we were married, countless family photos, a family tree subway art, etc.  So when it came to putting some art in our master bedroom I had come across some roman numeral art and though it would be great to recreate it with our wedding date.

I do not come from a family of collectors.  We have very few “family items” that have been passed down throughout the years.  Unfortunately, that has turned me into a master collector and I want to save everything!   I want my kids to have items with stories and prized possessions or collections to pass on to their kids for generations upon generations.  Call me crazy, but I love items with a story.Moms of Tulsa Shadow Box

As I sit in my living room thinking about a super easy DIY to share, I keep thinking about a book I’m currently reading, Love the Home You Have.  It is a wonderful book for everyone, but my discontent heart really needed this book!  I love my home, but I’m always looking for better and different, which is a good thing, but most often than not, a costly thing.  Cheap is good if you like a change as much as I do!  I kept looking at my curtains that have been hanging in my living area longer than anything else in that room, and curtains are something that make a big impact in a room.  I change my décor frequently, so I have a few tricks for curtains, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Bath bombs are everything right now in our house. Not only does my daughter (and nieces) enjoy them, us Mamas do too! It is so nice after a long day to hop in a hot bath, drop a bath bomb in, enjoy the aroma and get a couple free minutes to relax. If you haven’t tried one, you seriously are missing out! You need to run to the nearest store, gather up the ingredients and treat yo’self. Buying bath bombs can get expensive and when you have little ones that enjoy them as well, this is an easy and inexpensive alternative. A few of us Mom’s of Tulsa girls got together for a Sunday playdate last weekend and while our kids played, the Moms made some DIY bath bombs! This is an easy DIY recipe and a fun activity that your kids can be involved in too… all of our kiddos were just too preoccupied enjoying one another and running around, to stop and help. Not only are bath bombs fun to use, they are great to give as gifts to friends, teachers and relatives!DIY Bath Bombs
