It’s September! This means the kids are back in school and officially back in a routine! As you know from my previous posts, I love spoiling my daughter’s teachers. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make someone feel appreciated. The last couple years I have sent a ‘back-to-school teacher questionnaire’ in her backpack during the third week of school.  This is so I can get to know her teacher, the one who is going to spend time with my kiddo. I also send this with her to give to her teachers who teach her extra-curricular activities.

I have included a FREE printable so you can print your own teacher questionnaire and give it to your child’s teacher next week. I always send a Sharpie and a little note attached to the printable that reads: “Hello! ______ (child’s name) and I would love to get to know you better! Please complete this quick questionnaire and return it in our folder! Hope you are having a great day!”

School is out and summer is officially here! For the past couple of summers, I have made a Summer Bucket List for our family (a list of fun places to visit/activities to accomplish during the summer). Each year our summer bucket list gets a little longer because my daughter gets a little older, and is able to do more activities. My family loves to run around and get out of the house on the weekends, and this a fun reminder of things to do around our town. We keep our summer bucket list on a chalkboard in our kitchen, and my little one gets to ‘check off’ the activity as we complete it. Sometimes we accomplish 3 activities in one day, and sometimes we won’t do any. I truly believe it doesn’t have to be an expensive activity to be a fun and memorable activity.
