DIY: Holiday Wrapping Paper

wrappingpaperI must say Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love decorating our home to welcome the new season and one of my favorite things to do is gift wrapping! Every year I usually come up with a cohesive theme for my gift wrapping and this year I decided to go with lots of kraft paper, bold black and white strips, and a touch of plaid here and there. One of my fave things to do with plain kraft paper is to do my own DIY embellishing my using fun stamps and ink colors.

IMG_5085I normally grab plain Kraft Paper at my location craft store and then usually I just work from my own stash of stamps and inks which makes for a very inexpensive gift wrapping idea. I start with wrapping all my gifts with the kraft paper first so I know where to line up my stamp pattern.

One of my favorite stamps to use right now is the simple bow stamp that I think is super cute stamped in a gold and has a very Kate Spade look. Pair it up with some festive ribbon and a cute tag and you have the perfect gift that has a little personal touch.
