My best girl, Jenny and I put together a mint and coral gender reveal for my sister who is pregnant with baby number 4! My sister, Veronica decided that since this is her last child, she wanted to find out as a family what gender the baby was going to be. Jenny and I put our heads together over lunch and voila! a party was born! We decided we wanted to go with the colors coral and mint instead of the traditional pink and blue. We only had a couple weeks to plan but I think we hit it out of the park! Veronica and her family were thrilled and I am so glad we got to help celebrate with them!
The decor was simple but adorable. The food table was relatively easy to put together, Jenny made a printable with all of Veronica’s ‘Old Wives Tale’ answers and also made the ‘cast your vote’ printable. We had strings of both coral and mint that the guest of the party could pin on their shirts so we could easily see what everyone was predicting. I, was of course, team GIRL! The cookies were decorated as coral bows, mint onesies and the number 4; those of course, were a delicious hit! The white balloons were helium filled on both sides of the table with a large, gold number 4 on one side to celebrate ‘baby number four’. We served pizza, cookies and cake; can’t get much easier than that. The custom cake toppers were such a charming addition to the table. We decided we would reveal the gender by shooting a cannon of the color of the baby at the family. It was so fun to see their faces light up with joy as they discovered the gender of their newest baby!
Above the drink station we hung gold and white banners with old pictures of both she and her husband as babies and toddlers! Jenny made these darling cup stickers. We served wine, beer and tea for adults and had water and juice boxes for the kids!
Oh, and if you are wondering; the baby is a…. :
I am so excited to meet my newest niece; she is going to fit perfectly with her 3 other sisters! Want to know how Jenny captured this word with her DSLR camera? Check out her post on how to photograph writing with sparklers here!
